Netezza Corporation a provider of data warehousing and analystic appliances, recently announced that it has signed an agreement with NEC Corporation a networking, communications and information technology company, to jointly develop data warehousing appliances that will be sold under the NEC brand, initially in Japan and the Asia Pacific region but then worldwide.
 
The company said that the new appliances will combine Netezza's streaming architecture and analytical database software with NEC's Blade server and Storage platforms. NEC will manufacture, sell and distribute the jointly developed data warehouse appliances, the first of which, InfoFrame DWH Appliance, is expected to be available in April 2010.
